Ordering

How ordering works

This is the ordering platform for GenX Clinics patients. The catalogue is open to everyone; what you pay, and what you may order, follow from being a patient.

Who this is for

Two things decide what you can order here, and it is worth knowing which applies to you before you start.

  • Anyone can read. The full range, its documentation and the research writing are public and always will be.
  • Pricing needs a profile. Create one with an email address and a code — a minute, no password.
  • Prescription items need a consultation. A registered practitioner decides what is appropriate for you, and writes the script. We do not supply those items without one.
  • You must be 18 or older and in South Africa. We deliver domestically only.

From first visit to first delivery

  1. 01

    Browse the range in full

Every product, presentation, ingredient and certificate of analysis is public. Nothing is hidden behind the profile except what you pay. Read as much as you want before you give us anything.
  2. 02

    Create your profile

One field — your email address — and an eight-digit code sent to your inbox. There is no password to set or forget. The profile is what turns pricing on and gives your clinician somewhere to work.
  3. 03

    Speak to a clinician

Anything that needs a prescription needs a consultation first, whether that is your first course or a change to one you are already on. This happens at the clinic or remotely. How consultations work →
  4. 04

Your clinician may prepare the cart

During or after a consultation, a clinician can put the agreed items into your cart with a note explaining them. You will see who prepared it and when. It is your cart — change it, remove things, take your time. Nothing is ordered until you check out yourself.
  5. 05

    Order, or set a repeat

Check out when you are ready. If you are on an ongoing course, choose a cadence and the same items come round again without you having to remember.
  6. 06

    Cold-chain dispatch

Temperature-controlled, tracked, and signed for. Delivery in detail →

Why pricing is behind a profile

This is the question we are asked most, so here is the actual reason rather than a marketing one.

What you pay is part of your care. It depends on the presentation you have been prescribed, the quantity, and whether you are on a repeat — and quoting a number to somebody who has not spoken to a clinician invites them to self-select a therapy from a price list. Most of what we supply is not something you should be choosing that way.

So the catalogue pages you are reading contain no price at all. Not hidden with a stylesheet — the page served to a visitor who is not signed in does not contain the number. When you sign in, your prices are fetched separately, for you.

Repeat supply

Most courses run for months. A repeat means the same items arrive on a cadence you set, rather than a reorder you have to remember. Your first delivery is the order itself; repeats begin once a card is saved on the repeat.

  • Choose every two, four or eight weeks on any item that supports it.
  • Pause, skip a single delivery, change the quantity or move the next date from your account, at any time, without contacting anyone.
  • Changes take effect straight away as long as you make them before the delivery is charged. We email you a reminder a few days before.
  • A repeat is never opened on your behalf and never charged without a payment method you have added yourself. If a dose changes, your clinician updates the items and you confirm.

Paying

Card payment is being added. Until it is live, orders are invoiced and settled by bank transfer.

When you check out you see your items, any discount, the delivery option you chose and the VAT in your total before you confirm. We hold no card details of yours on our systems at any point; card payment is handled by the payment provider, and we keep only the card brand, the last four digits and the expiry so you can tell your cards apart.

What we know about you

A short version of the privacy notice, because nobody reads the long one before they sign up.

  • Your record is visible to you and to the GenX Clinics staff who are looking after you. Every time a staff member opens your record, that is logged.
  • Staff can help you inside your account — fix an address, adjust a repeat — but they can never check out for you. Nobody but you can spend your money.
  • We ask for consent before we record it, and we keep the record of what you agreed to and when. The full notice →

Create your profile, or start with a consultation.

If you are already a patient, a profile takes a minute and opens your pricing. If you are not yet, the consultation comes first.
